Stop Criticizing Pakistan

Pakistan has been in massive fluctuations since the Pakistani government started operation in Swat and the other heaven like valleys in Northern Areas against Taliban. Some of the parties are criticizing the Government owing to operation. All the International countries like US, European etc are also in the favor of operation against the militants. Before this operation, Pakistan had to face overwhelming criticism on Nizam-E-Adal agreement with Taliban. American criticism reached a plateau as soon as President Zardari signed the agreement. But instead of clean-up the mess in their own country, they always point fingers on Pakistan. Let’s illuminate some of the American demons and their management errors.

The Aryan Brotherhood (notorious prison gang) was established to provide protection for White individuals from Black and Hispanic groups, most specifically the Mexican Mafia. For those who don’t know about Aryan Brotherhood. “The Aryan Brotherhood, also known as the AB or The Brand, is a White prison gang numbering about 15,000 members in and out of prison. In March 2006, four leaders of the Aryan Brotherhood were indicted for numerous crimes, including murder, conspiracy, drug trafficking, racketeering and dog fighting. According to the FBI, although the gang makes up less than 1% of the prison population, it is responsible for up to 18% of murders in the federal prison system.”

Guantanamo Bay is also one of the American’s bitter lollypops. They sentenced cruel and unethical punishments to the prisoners. Recent reports and pictures disclose the truth and caused great awkwardness for the Americans. Certainly, there were some (so called) terrorists in the prison but there isn’t any law which allows them to treat prisoners ruthlessly. Some of the devils crossed the limit and carried out profane acts especially against Islam. US soldiers comprising the NATO forces are still killing thousands of innocents in Afghanistan and Pakistan through Drone attacks. They aren’t even differentiating the militants and the local inhabitants. NATO forces have accustomed of slaughtering innocent children and women.

Recent CNN report reveals the pathetic management and shortcomings of American Stewards. Summary of the Report is quoted below:

“Loose record-keeping caused the Pentagon and the U.S. command in Iraq to lose track of about 110,000 AK-47 rifles and 80,000 pistols provided to the new Iraqi national police and army, the Government Accountability Office told Congress. The investigative arm of Congress, the GAO also found that 250,000 pieces of body armor and helmets can't be accounted for.” taken from CNN official website.

Another CNN report exposes latest security error of missing US weapons in Afghanistan.

“A congressional investigation reveals that thousands of weapons are unaccounted for and may be in the hands of the Taliban or Al-Qaeda, recalling other recent security failures.” taken from CNN official website.

They claim to be the most civilized nations. But what they did in Guantanamo Bay was ruthless. There aren’t two opinions about the cruel and profane intentions of the Americans. Russian invaders had more than 1, 00,000 soldiers in Afghanistan but Pashtuns (Afghani people) didn’t surrender and fought courageously against them. On the other hand, NATO force which consists of 26 countries armies, only have 80,000 soldiers there for the last 8 years and there is still no bode of victory. Ultimately, before criticizing Pakistan they must review of their own fragile policies and management.

Role of Media in Pakistan

A state can’t be strong and prosperous without four important pillars and Media is one of them. Constructive role of media can play a significant role in a country’s advancement. Media can be divided in two categories Electronic Media and second is Print Media. Ever since I am born I have only seen the efficient role of print media which includes newspapers, magazines etc. I am not General Musharraf’s follower but the credit goes to him because in his tenure a bulk of TV channels came up in existence. Before that we were bound to watch PTV (National TV Channel) which broadcasting usually shuts at 9 pm. In other words we can say that Musharraf gave birth to all these channels despite of being a dictator. He always emphasized on the independence of media. Although that is another thing, that media was a major element which leads him to his political career death.

There cannot be two opinions that that Pakistani media is playing quite neutral and exotic role. Media is pointing out the deficiencies in our national institutions. They are trying their best to figure out the deficiencies in our administrative and political structure. They also appreciate the positive and lucrative work done by the Government. Pakistani media’s effort to bring stability and take our country on progression’s path is really praiseworthy. Now whenever one put on TV one can find a lot of talk shows regarding to the political situation in Pakistan. Media brings us latest news about events and developments immediately. Print media has also got a boost like electronic media. Both of them are working side by side to bring prosperity in Pakistan.

The core purpose of media is to educate the people of a country. Media can bring effective changes in a society by awaking the people. In addition media can cause disruption or can strengthen a society simultaneously. Even though as compared to the Indian media, our media still needs a lot of things to learn. Pakistani media should be more efficient. No doubt Pakistan is an under developing country unlike India. The basic quality I (and probably all of you) found in Indian media, they only highlight the good things of their country. There is also a great misery in India. A bulk of people sleeps on the roads. Not only this, people are using footpaths for living purposes. They even pay to live on the streets and footpaths. But they never highlight these kinds of facts. Conversely our media is revealing a lot of things which should not be exposed. For instance, whenever a Taliban commander threatens the Government, media starts displaying the statements. But on the other hand, they provide opportunity to the US and other countries officials to dictate Pakistani Government. Especially Americans put overwhelming pressure on our Government.

Every picture has two sides. Media only see the front side of a situation and neglect the other side which can be harmful for our country’s image. Our media definitely presents the news and events in a positive way but some of them do have negative impression. No doubt that it’s a competitive world and media is also working in a competitive environment. Few TV channels and newspapers sometimes publish unverified news and information. Last year I read in newspaper that oil prices in international market has drop down to 39 PKR. But that was fake information I confirmed it from couple of authorized websites. Lately I read that someone said that Imran Khan (Chairman Tehreek-E-Insaaf) doesn’t have a luck line in his hand. Although in the very next day the newspaper expressed regret about the unproven information. Ultimately I would appeal to all the media personnel’s to be more careful while publishing or showing anything.

Typical life of a Student

The students can be divided categorically according to their education and studies. Impartially all of them must recognize their responsibilities either socially or politically. The students can play a significant role in the prosperity and boom of a nation but they must choose a constructive course to walk on. My previous posts were quite awkward although now I shall light up major endeavors for students to carry out for the progression of our country.

Primarily Pakistan was attained in the name of an Islamic state. Probably many of us don’t know the real and comprehensive name of our country. It is Islamic Republic of Pakistan. So I believe that being a Muslim and a resident of an Islamic state we all must be conscious with our religions. Students should take guidance from Quran and other holy scriptures.

As far as the politics is concerned think tanks have clashes in their opinions about the student role. Some says that students are very immature to take part in politics and they can become a tool for corrupt politicians. Several say that students are very talented because of their fresh, new and distinctive visions. They are very passionate and enthusiastic so they can play a strong role in politics. In my opinion students should take part in politics but they must begin from root level. For instance, in European colleges and maybe in every Western college there are student unions. Strong discussions are held between students there collectively. Unfortunately in Pakistan students go to colleges and universities to get a rod in their neck and ruin their life running after the corrupt Mafia Groups. Any way they must be very enduring and humble. As more knowledge they take as more they should be humble. They must be very cooperative and modest. They can play an excellent role in national politics if they are easygoing and people friendly. They can evolve a new sense of wisdom in local people.

Secondly, students must use their knowledge and skills socially. They must spread their knowledge and skills fairly to all those who can’t even embark in expensive colleges and universities. They can also make some social organizations to facilitate the lower and middle class. There are already some anonymous students NGO’s (Non Governmental Organizations) working for the welfare of society. Some of them belong to middle or low class and despite of poor financial conditions they are serving us. They have personal blood banks and donate their own bloods impartially, free tuitions etc. This is really praiseworthy. When the terrible earthquake hit the Northern areas of Pakistan in 2005 many of the students came up as a social servant. They went and helped out the people there under tough conditions and who could not go there, ran campaigns to accumulate sufficient funds for the needy and suffered people. That was the real essence of students being a Pakistani and nation.

Eventually I would say that students should have an angel’s soul. They have the caliber to change the fate of a nation like Pakistan if they are determined. I wish that I could see an alliance between students on any national issue like terrorism etc. But unfortunately most of the Pakistani students have become sign of terror their selves.

Are Students curse on Pakistan

This post is about my personal experience and view but opinions may vary.

As the founder of Pakistan Quaid-E-Azam said "The prosperity and advancement of a nation depends upon the young generation". I will enlighten some essentials about the whole new generation of Pakistan particularly students.

The new generation has played a significant role in the independence of Pakistan but I regret to say that since I am born I have never seen any praiseworthy role of the new generation. We all are dispersed and scattered alike. I am writing about the majority among us. We don't even know what our responsibilities are being inhabitants of Pakistan. Some people say that it's the fault of Government and leadership. We all point our fingers on each other and don’t carry out our duties faithfully. To my mind everybody has a responsibility to fulfill whether a student, a leader or a citizen.

As far as I am concerned the students are the backbone of a nation. The core purpose of education is to evolve the character of an ordinary person and make him/her a decent and civilized human. Indeed educational system in Pakistan is miserable. Subsequently, students are going towards wrong direction. Some of us take education to learn new things and skills and some obtain it for a healthy career. Both desires sound suitable to me. But now there is another group has risen among us and that is "Student Mafia". The sole purpose of education near to me is to struggle against the social evils and to exile those using educational skills and knowledge. However (majority of) current students have become a tool for the sinners and corrupt leaders. Most of the students have become professional criminals. They feel very proud on becoming a hooligan and thug.

In addition they fight with each other in groups and frequently beat the poor and weak peoples on the roads. Many bus drivers and conductors have become their prey just because of asking fares to travel in local transport. They don't even respect the old people similar to their fathers and beat them awfully. I also used to be a student but never even slap any body in my whole student life. Many of them are drug addicted. Majority in elite class students take drugs for mental pleasure and some of them are there to fulfill their sexual desires. The worst thing is that few females are also carrying out the same deeds like males.

In the end, I would say that if we want to change our fates then we have to change our attitudes first. We all should be penitent on our sins and mold our behaviors in a pleasant shape. Therefore, the students have to be very enthusiastic and enduring. They ought to strive for the betterment of Pakistan rather than becoming gangsters. The conclusion is that students must be a role model for others rather than becoming bode of curse for Pakistan.

I know that all of you are quite nervous and might be furious as I am just writing about the negative points. But in my next post I would post some steps for students to undertake for their betterment and country’s development alike. So don’t miss it.
